The nature of our Bossy® Smart mattress
Being on time, or better yet being early, is one of the easiest successes we can achieve. Simple by making the right combination between our farm sense and digital solutions.
Our Bossy® SmartMattress records the presence and absence of the client on the mattress, whether the client is sitting on the bed edge threatening to leave the bed, as well as the duration of the client’s lying position. All this to give the caregivers insight into what care they need.
An extra watchful eye
That’s exactly what we wanted. The Bossy® Smart Mattress is a comfortable care mattress meant for lying on with above-average comfort. Integrated between the two foam layers are sensors. These are imperceptible. The sensors communicate via a module mounted under the bed with the call system or other alarm platform. According to the needs of the client and caregiver, it is determined when an alarm is desirable. For example, a client can always go to the toilet independently without the alarm going off. Via an App on the caregiver’s cell phone, data, thus sent from the module or the existing call system, is made visible. At that point, the caregiver can determine what client-centered assistance to provide.

The Bossy® SmartMattress measures presence and absence and detects if someone is sitting on the bed edge and threatening to leave the bed, or, in other words, edge detection.
By monitoring these two statuses, false alarms are minimized.
Preventing decubitus is an important focus in healthcare.Preventive measures, if clients turn every 3 hours, are very labour-intensive. In practice, many clients turn on their own. The Bossy® Smart Mattress monitors which clients have turned on their own. Thanks to this secure monitoring, a better changeover policy can be implemented. The Bossy® Smart Mattress not only guarantees the privacy of the client but also ensures a more efficient night’s sleep. That is beautiful.

Smart connectivity and more efficient care
We do it together. The idea for a smart mattress originated back in 2017. In recent years, the solutions have been perfected to perfection. Thanks to the Mids grant from the province of Gelderland, we entered into a successful collaboration with Althen and Phuntronix, which has helped make it possible for our province to prepare for the big launch now, after a successful test phase. Deron will bring the BossyÒ smart mattress to market in Q4 2022.
